Archtober x Data Vandals: What’s Below Our Feet? An Engineering Spectacular

Join us at the Archtober x Data Vandals newsstand takeover to hear from engineering experts about what it takes to work in the underbelly of NYC.

Data Vandals is an NYC-based art duo comprised of artist Jen Ray and data visualization designer Jason Forrest, who turn public data into community conversations. Since April of this year, their former newsstand-turned-data art gallery has hosted rotating exhibitions, sticker surveys, live events, music, and a free newspaper. The interior opens a few times a week, but the exterior murals are around the clock, read by roughly 52,000 riders a day.

Archtober is New York City’s month-long festival, celebrating architecture and design throughout the city and beyond. Through collaboration with the festivals partners, Archtober provides exhibitions, talks, tours, and special events that are free and accessible to all.
