New York School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) – Design Excellence and Networking Forum

The NYC School Construction Authority (SCA) is pleased to invite you to our Design Excellence and Networking Forum on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts.

This full-day forum reflects the SCA’s commitment to advancing design excellence and setting new standards for innovation, sustainability, and student well-being across New York City’s public school facilities. The event will bring together SCA leadership, design professionals, and industry partners for thought leadership, practical guidance, and meaningful connection.

Participants will:
•    Hear directly from SCA leadership on the Authority’s vision for design excellence and upcoming capital projects
•    Gain insight into how to do business with the NYCSCA, including procurement, contract types, and project delivery expectations
•    Learn best practices for working on both Capacity and Capital Improvement Projects through focused breakout sessions led by SCA Architecture & Engineering and Contract Administration teams

The forum will feature two keynote presentations from nationally recognized leaders:
•    Michael Bischoff, Design Partner at Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, presenting the St. John Villa Academy campus and sharing insights into large-scale, mission-driven design
•    Jean-Claude Brizard, President & CEO of Digital Promise, delivering an inspirational presentation on pedagogy and its impact on the built environment that supports learning, followed by a fireside conversation with SCA leadership.
