Future View: Vernacular Technologies Symposium

A symposium considering the impact of vernacular construction materials and methods on the future of architecture, this two day event includes one day of lectures and conversations and one day of hands-on design-build workshops in timber, straw, and clay. Lecturers include Lola Ben-Alon of Columbia’s Natural Materials Lab, Ian Crawford of University of Alabama, David Lewis of Parsons New School, Johan Jönsson of White Arkitektur, and New Frameworks Natural Design Build, as well as Katie MacDonald and Kyle Schumann of University of Virginia.
