AIANY Women in Architecture Summer Outing: Recognizing and Overcoming Burnout

Join the AIANY Women in Architecture Committee for their Summer Outing in Central Park! Bring your favorite picnic food, snacks, soft drinks, and a blanket and enjoy a fun networking day outdoors. The outing will also include a facilitated discussion: Recognizing and Overcoming Burnout, which will serve as a follow-up to the WIA Mental Health Workshop in May and the AIA Women’s Leadership Summit virtual session, “Tackling Mental Health in Architectural Practice.” Participants will identify stages of burnout and brainstorm how to improve our industry culture to achieve greater satisfaction with work and career advancement. Let’s explore how women architects, peers, colleagues, leaders, mothers, and collaborators can contribute to prioritizing self-care, mental health, and wellbeing to create and advocate for supportive work environments.
