Meeting NYC’s Climate and Resilience Goals with DERs
Achieving climate goals and greater resilience requires integrated systems-level thinking, particularly when it comes to energy demand, distribution, and supply.
How can architects and engineers navigate the changes in energy generation, delivery, and storage strategies in their projects in order to achieve emissions reductions and gain greater resilience via DERs?
This event will feature panel discussions and case studies to provide a comprehensive look at the intersection between NYC’s climate goals, the latest DER technologies, and the built environment.
Speakers: Illya Azaroff, AIA, Co-chair, AIANY Design for Risk and Reconstruction Committee; Principal, PlusLab Rory Christian, NY Director, Clean Energy, Environmental Defense Fund Lewis M. Kwit, President, Energy Investment Systems Angelica Ramdhari, Resilient Solar Program Manager, Solar One Steve Pullins, VP of Development, Dynamic Energy Network Dylan Batterman, Specialist, Targeted Demand Management, Con Edison
Moderator: Nancy Anderson, PhD, Executive Director, Sallan Foundation
As a reminder, AIA National policy requires participants to attend the entire educational portion of an event to receive continuing education credits. We encourage all participants to arrive on time to comply with this policy.
