NYC is increasingly vulnerable to flooding due to climate change. More intense coastal storms, rising sea levels, and extreme precipitation are causing flooding across New York City.  Lower Manhattan is at the core of New York City’s transportation system and economy.  This panel event will discuss the City’s plan to erect the FiDi-Seaport Climate Resilience Plan to close the last gap in Lower Manhattan’s defenses against coastal flooding. The event will provide AICP Planners with 1 CM credit (https://www.planning.org/events/eventsingle/9325965/).
