About the Speakers:
Sarah Capichioni is the Operations Manager for the New York branch of Adjaye Associates, an internationally acclaimed architecture and design studio. Dedicated to ensuring both performance and the wellness of the New York team, Capichioni oversees all aspects of Human Resources and Operations including recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, performance management, workers compensation, benefits, and safety.
Joel Peterson, SHRM-SCP, is the Associate Director of Human Resources at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), a global architectural design firm based in New York City. Peterson has worked in the AEC industry as an HR leader for 14 years helping “build the people who build the buildings.”
Shannon Rodriguez joined the firm in 2005 and is FXCollaborative’s Human Resources Director. She is one of the firm’s “go-to” people for direction, guidance, and mentorship, and is responsible for performance management, mentoring and training programs, employee relations, recruiting, staffing, and benefits administration. Rodriguez has been instrumental in helping to establish FXCollaborative’s diversity + inclusion initiatives and is an advocate for all employees.
Tania J. Mistretta is an Associate in the New York City office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Her practice focuses on representing employers in all areas of employment law, including handling employment litigation matters and offering preventative counseling. Mistretta regularly counsels employers on a broad range of employee issues, including disciplines and terminations, leave and accommodation requests, and helps employers implement policies to keep them in compliance with increasing changes to the law.
