Founders Architecture Talk

Four pioneering women founders gather to explore how architecture fosters deep connections with our planet and global communities. Moderated by Julia Gamolina (Madame Architect), this panel examines the intersection of materiality, sustainability, and regional landscape through visual case studies. Participants will analyze the design of the Ilulissat Icefjord Centre in Greenland, designed by Dorte Mandrup to preserve local wildlife habitats; Francine Houben’s Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi, which mirrors native rock formations to elevate environmental literacy; and Sharon Prince’s stewardship of Grace Farms, demonstrating long-term site integration and ethical supply chain sourcing through the Design for Freedom movement.
