Now in its 19th year, organizations from around the region bring people to their waterfronts for activities ranging from paddling to seining to surfing, arts and nature walks, cleanups, and much more. Our opening ceremony takes place a few days ahead, on 7/23, with a cardboard kayak race, where teams compete to design and build kayaks out of nothing but cardboard and tape and compete for glory.
