The Practice of Parenting: Panel Discussion

The practice of architecture and motherhood have been difficult to reconcile in our profession. In this forum, women architects from different stages in their professional and parenting paths will share their experiences, challenges, and insights on the practice of motherhood. This honest conversation will address topics including planning for becoming a mother, navigating expectations in the workplace, the challenge of balancing a career with the demands of parenting, single parenthood, staying engaged professionally throughout the many stages of parenting, and equitable policies that are needed to support motherhood and practice.
