Join NYSERDA’s New Construction and Thermal Energy Networks team for a webinar to learn about Round Six of the Buildings of Excellence Competition, which is now open accepting proposals through September 17, 2025. With up to $1.5 million available for winning demonstration projects, this Competition recognizes and rewards the design, construction, and operation of resilient, climate-friendly multifamily buildings that are healthier for residents and their communities.

Brandon Pietras RA NY/NJ, LFA, Project Architect, from Bernhiemer Architecture will also speak on the benefits of participating in the Buildings of Excellence Early Design Support (EDS) program and he will also share preliminary EDS study findings on the River Commons project.

NYSERDA’s program team will also provide brief updates on the open programs below:

  • Buildings of Excellence – Early Design Support Program – open until November 15, 2025
  • Building Cleaner Communities Competition – open until July 31, 2025
  • Large Scale Thermal (PON 5614) – open until July 31, 2025
