In this talk, Daniel Inocente Architecture will share insights into its diverse project experience, which spans a wide range of projects from sustainable focused residential design to manufacturing facilities, transportation infrastructure, and cutting edge space technology initiatives. Drawing from extensive experience across multiple fields, the firm will discuss how it integrates interdisciplinary design principles, advanced technologies, and sustainability into every project, regardless of scale or context.

With a unique blend of technical expertise and creative vision, the firm approaches each project with a focus on adaptability and innovation, ensuring that solutions not only address today’s challenges but are also future ready. The firm’s work in residential design, transportation, and industrial spaces reflects a commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional architecture, creating functional and sustainable environments that anticipate the needs of tomorrow.

This talk will offer a glimpse into the future of architecture, where cross-disciplinary collaboration and forward thinking design are key to shaping a sustainable and dynamic built environment. Through real-world examples, the firm will highlight how its diverse projects inform and inspire one another, resulting in designs that are both visionary and practical, built to adapt to the evolving needs of the world.

Daniel Inocente, AIA, NCARB – Principal Architect, DIA

Daniel Inocente is the Principal Architect and Founder of DIA, an innovative design practice that merges architecture with technology, sustainability, and interdisciplinary thinking. As a licensed architect and member of the AIA and NCARB, Daniel leads the firm with a clear vision: to create meaningful, high-performance environments that reflect the evolving needs of society and the built world.

His architectural work spans residential, commercial, civic, and mixed-use projects, each characterized by thoughtful design, technical precision, and a commitment to environmental stewardship. Daniel has also worked with companies such as SOM, Gehry Partners and Blue Origin on projects from Highrise developments to space station architecture. Daniel’s design philosophy emphasizes clarity, purpose, and the integration of form, function, and creative expression.

Alongside his architectural practice, Daniels practice has worked with prominent clients in the space technology sector, including Virgin Galactic, reinforcing his studio’s ability to operate at the intersection of architecture and advanced innovation.

Daniel also serves as a Professor of Practice at Arizona State University, where he mentors the next generation of architects to think critically, design responsibly, and embrace emerging technologies as tools for shaping the future.

Émeline Inocente – Chief Strategy Officer, DIA

Émeline Inocente is the Chief Strategy Officer at DIA, where she leads global strategic initiatives, cultivates partnerships, and aligns the firm’s growth trajectory with its mission of delivering forward-thinking, sustainable, and technologically integrated architecture. Drawing from a robust international background, Émeline brings a unique fusion of geopolitical insight, legal expertise, and global diplomacy to the architecture and design sector.

Before joining Daniel Inocente Architecture, Émeline held influential roles with several major institutions and corporations, including Safran and Airbus in France, as well as CNES (the French Space Agency) in Washington, D.C. and abroad. She also served at the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations in New York and within the Secretariat at the United Nations, gaining deep experience in multilateral cooperation and cross-sector negotiation.

Émeline holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations and European Studies and a Master’s Degree in Space and Telecommunications Law, equipping her with a nuanced understanding of global systems, regulatory frameworks, and the future of infrastructure and design in an interconnected world.

In her role as CSO, Émeline is focused on expanding the firm’s global footprint, nurturing relationships with clients, institutions, and partners, and guiding long-term strategic planning that aligns with the evolving demands of 21st-century architecture.

The committees of AIA New York are the foundations from which the Chapter positions itself in the field of architecture, whether through discussion, advocacy, policy making and development, event and exhibition planning, or other endeavors.

Committees meet monthly, usually at the Center for Architecture. AIA members, AIA associate members, and general public are all welcome to participate.
