Join us for a special Book Talk featuring thought-leader and MIT professor, Christoph Reinhart, author of Climate-Driven Design I. In this exciting moderated program, Reinhart will explore the pressing challenges facing the global building sector: rapid population growth, more frequent extreme weather events, and the urgent need to achieve carbon-neutral buildings. The book outlines a bold vision for the future of architecture, as the global building sector faces the “triple challenge” of having to double its size, become more climate resilient, and reduce its carbon footprint to zero—all within a quarter century.

Reinhart reintroduces sustainable architecture principles, from energy benchmarking and climate analysis to passive design strategies, providing readers with practical tools to implement these concepts in real-world projects. The book includes hands-on simulation exercises, and the case studies of a residential retrofit and a new office building offer concrete examples of how these strategies can be applied.

This event offers a unique opportunity to ask questions, gain insight into the future of climate-resilient design, and discuss how architects and builders can respond to our changing environment. A limited number of books will be available for purchase!
