As public owners in New York increase their use of alternative project delivery tools, AIA New York and Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) are exploring the following questions:

  • How do we prioritize quality design in alternative delivery?
  • How do we look at quality design in terms of performance, durability, user experience, sustainability, accessibility, and aesthetics?
  • What are the guardrails in place to maintain and uphold quality?
  • What are the tools we can put in place to ensure quality design is a central focus while also achieving cost and time savings?

Join us in conversation as we explore project team perspectives through the eyes of the designer, owner, and builder, allowing us to examine how alternative delivery enables innovation and supports quality. Hear about the different experiences of alternative delivery with project case studies from each panelist, unpacking what went right, what enabled success, and how they navigated the challenges.
