Course 110: Performance-based Compliance with ASHRAE Standard 90.1

The 8 hour training will educate jurisdiction decisionmakers about different performance-based compliance options, the level of QA/QC necessary for meaningful enforcement, and the available resources including the Enforcement Manual, Review Checklist, compliance forms developed with the DOE/PNNL funding, the qualification requirements for modelers and reviewers, and potential business models for funding the review of performance-based submittals. This web-based training covers the application of ASHRAE 90.1 Section 11 and Appendix G to renovations, core and shell projects, tenant fit-outs and projects served by district heating and cooling systems. It also addresses the modeling requirements related to selected building systems such as renewable energy, combined heat and power (CHP), water booster pumps, elevators, and commercial and industrial equipment. The examples are provided based on the real-life projects.
