This year, SDD celebrates its 10th anniversary: 10 years of design experiences, networking, and creativity in the company of the best design brands and an ever-growing community of professionals and design lovers. To mark this milestone, we offer a rich program of activities throughout the year, an extended opportunity to discover the latest in design during the May Festival (16-23), and an open invitation to visit all our spaces on SoHo Design Day, Saturday, May 18.
Since our beginnings in 2014, we have created an open space for our members to share their initiatives, network with like-minded creatives, coordinate design talks, attend in-store receptions, collaborate with local and international institutions, and more, all to build a strong, healthy, and viable design community.
We are so grateful for the unwavering support from our national and international design brands and passionate professionals who truly resonate with our mission, as this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without them in our corner.

Eataly SoHo x SDD: Celebrating 10 years of SoHo Design District
Beginning May 16, the NYCxDesign Festival will be alive and well in the heart of SoHo! To join in the celebration and give design lovers a place to gather at the end of the day, the SoHo Design District is partnering with Eataly’s new location: Eataly SoHo at 200 Lafayette Street.
Grab a design-inspired Negroni Sour cocktail—a famous Italian cocktail made famous at Bar Basso in Milan, Italy. Since the 1950s, Bar Basso has been a popular drink spot, and now, it is quintessential to Salone del Mobile, one of the most highly anticipated events in the world of furniture. With this rich history, it’s only natural to feature this Negroni as an inspired cocktail of the NYCxDESIGN Festival.
