The NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission plays an important role in shaping some of the city’s most beloved places. Michael Goldblum, AIA LEED AP architect and LPC Commissioner will present his impressions on how the Commission views its mission and function in the modern age. Since 2010, Michael’s LPC service has encompassed over 10,000 newly designated buildings and has reviewed over 2,000 projects. He is a founding partner at Manhattan-based Building Studio Architects LLP.  The firm’s practice ranges from single family homes to large-scale clients like StuyTown, industrial, and religious buildings. Michael is also very active in the Bronx AIA. Michael is deeply committed to his home borough, the Bronx. He has led a Municipal Art Society community advocacy program at NYCHA’s Claremont Village public housing complex and advocates for Bronx historic houses as the conservation committee chair at the Historic House Trust.
