A Musical Celebration of the Life of Rafael Viñoly

Featuring The Philadelphia Orchestra, led by Music and Artistic Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin, The Viñoly Foundation presents a performance honoring the life and work of Rafael Viñoly, the distinguished Uruguayan architect who died in March of 2023. The event will feature guest appearances by Itzhak Perlman, Jonathan Biss and the Isaiah J. Thompson Trio.

This occasion also marks the relaunch of the Viñoly Foundation. Established in 2011, the Foundation was rededicated in 2023 after Rafael Viñoly’s passing. Guided by the hallmarks of his civic-oriented approach to the profession, the Foundation is in the process of developing grant, award, and early education programs to extend Rafael’s legacy for generations to come.
