The practice of architecture and motherhood have been difficult to reconcile in our profession. In this encouraging forum, women architects from different levels and stages in their professional paths will share their experiences, challenges, and rewards of motherhood and how they manage and flourish in their careers while balancing parenthood. This conversation will address questions in planning for parental leave, the transition into parenthood while maintaining a career, time management as a mother working outside the home, how motherhood and professional life have influenced each other, staying connected in the profession throughout life changes, and how firms can support motherhood.
