Join us for a live demonstration of 3D laser scanning! Learn how professionals can help architects identify and alleviate safety risks by using the latest technology and equipment. Looking at a 123-year-old building in Manhattan as a case study, experts from Existing Conditions will illustrate how 3D laser scanning, point clouds, and BIM can be used to mitigate risk around site conditions and add value to projects in the building industry. The presenters will also provide participants with the information they need to get the most out of their existing conditions surveys, address common questions and misconceptions related to the use of 3D laser scanning and BIM, and take you on a deep dive into the value of these resources.

About the Speakers:
Jared Curtis is President of Existing Conditions. Prior to his work at Existing Conditions, he was the Director of Capital Markets and Global Real Estate Advisor for Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty and assisted WinnDevelopment, a national leader in multifamily housing, by providing a diverse set of real estate development and acquisitions services. Curtis is a graduate of Cornell University’s College of Architecture Art and Planning, where he received a degree in Architecture from the #1 program in the country. While at Cornell, he pursued studies with a focus on technology and its impact on the future of historic preservation and affordable housing in the USA.
 
Jesus Bravo joined Existing Conditions in the Spring of 2016, where he began as field ops and assisted with drafting and 3D modeling. Bravo became interested in architecture during while attending high school in 2007, when he initially created floor plans manually and first encountered Autodesk software. Bravo obtained a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology from NYCCT. Prior to joining Existing Conditions, Bravo gained experience working in different firms, covering areas such as schematic design, building codes, and construction. Currently, Bravo primarily concentrates on overseeing operations, handling tasks from sales to delivery.
