FDNY Fire Protection and Safety Plans: What Architects Need to Know

When the NYC Building Code triggers the need for fire protection plans or fire safety plans, do you know the requirements? This presentation will discuss these filings at the FDNY as well as ten of the more common submission filing deficiencies. Participants will gain a better understanding of the process, which will ultimately reduce plan review times. A question and answer period will follow.

About the Speakers:
Carlos Ruiz is the Captain of the FDNY and the Unit Head of Emergency Planning and Preparedness Group (EPPG). He has 21 years of experience with the FDNY and recieved his BA from John Jay College
Mina Soliman PE is a CFPS Professional Engineer in NY and TX. He is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (NFPA) and the Former Assistant Chief Examiner at the Department of Buildings.
Mamadou Wade PE is a Professional Engineer in CT and an Associate Project Manager at the Emergency Planning and Preparedness Group (EPPG)
