We continue the SEAoNY Resilience Panel Series with a panel on engineering in the emergency response cycle. This panel is presented in collaboration with the SEAoNY Structural Engineering Emergency Response (SEER) Committee. This panel has a focus on design for stages of the emergency response cycle, following three panels focused on best practice design considerations for specific hazards. Our speakers focus on a few different vantage points -advance preparedness, emergency response during and in the immediate aftermath of a natural hazard event, and longer term restoration and recovery. Each will speak broadly on their focus within the resilience cycle, while also touching on how design choices enable success.

This event is part of a series of resilience-focused panel events hosted by the SEAoNY Resilience Committee and SEAoNY SEER Committee. Stay tuned for upcoming events which will dive deeper into specific shocks and stresses  we face in NY and across the country.
