Join us for the opening of Fairy Tale Architecture! The Center for Architecture's Fairy Tale Architecture exhibition presents a series of fantastical domestic structures exploring the intimate relationship between fairy tales and the creation of an imaginative realm of architecture. Initially begun as a series for the online public architecture, landscape, and urbanism journal Places, the exhibition presents work melding architecture, design, and literary critique. Architects and designers from all over the world were invited to select a favorite tale, contemplate the promise of a magical home, and design new realms and spaces that explore this inquiry within the world of the fairy tale.

Curators: Kate Bernheimer, author, and Andrew Bernheimer, FAIA, Principal, Bernheimer Architecture

Participating firms: Abruzzo Bodziak, Bernheimer Architecture, Guy Nordenson Associates, LEVENBETTS, Lewis.Tsurumaki.Lewis, Smiljan Radic, Rice+Lipka, Snohetta, SO-IL, Studio Sumo, Xavier Vendrell and Mary English, Ultramoderne, Young Projects

This event is offered in person; COVID-19 vaccinations and face masks are strongly encouraged for all visitors. Read our full Health and Safety Protocol here.
