Design Discovery: Plan and Elevation Drawing (Grades 9-12) – In-Person

Fall 2022 Series:  

The Design Discovery Fall 2022 series will focus on fundamental architectural design skills. Each workshop focuses on a different core lesson that will help high school students explore their interest in architecture as well as hone a skill that will be helpful for portfolio development. These workshops are open to all levels of architecture and art experience. Attend all three sessions for an opportunity to round out all skills, or just select the workshops that appeal most to you!   

Plan and Elevation Drawing: 

Architectural drawings are part of the visual language used by architects around the world. Join the Center for Architecture for an introduction to reading and drawing plan and elevation drawings. This hands-on workshop will include exercises in interpreting 3-dimensional space using LEGO Architecture Studio as a tool for rapid model making. Students will draft a plan and elevation to scale to become fluent in this universal language. 

All materials will be provided. Lunch will not be provided. All students will be dismissed for a lunch break from 12pm – 1pm.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Registration for all programs is non-transferable. Tuition for all programs is non-refundable. There are no exceptions to this policy. The Center for Architecture will not provide make-ups or refunds for days missed as a result of vacation plans, scheduling conflicts, illness (including COVID-19), emergencies, or other events beyond our control.
