Location
Center for Architecture and Zoom

Be inspired by highly-acclaimed leaders in design and technology within the AEC industry. Join us for a series of presentations, discussions, and roundtable panels reflecting on the state of practice today and what is on the horizon.

This year’s symposium will be a hybrid in-person and live streamed event. Limited tickets for in-person attendance at the Center for Architecture are available. Tickets purchased for in-person participation can also be used for virtual access if needed. Virtual attendees will have real-time access to the full symposium.

Featured Speakers:
Jit Kee Chin, PhD, Chief Data and Innovation Officer, EVP, Suffolk Construction
Pablo Zamorano Mosnaim, Senior Associate, Head of Geometry and Computational Design, Heatherwick Studio
Martha Tsigkari, Senior Partner, Head of Applied R&D, Foster + Partners

About the Speakers:
Jit Kee Chin
is responsible for leveraging modern advances in data and technology to improve the organization’s core business. Chin is also responsible for helping Suffolk achieve its vision of transforming the construction experience, and rethink how we build in the digital age. Most recently, Chin co-founded Suffolk Technologies, Suffolk’s venture capital firm investing in startups within the built environment. Prior to her role at Suffolk, Chin spent nearly 10 years with management consulting firm McKinsey and Company where she counseled senior executives on strategic, commercial and advanced analytics topics. Chin holds a PhD in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BSc from the California Institute of Technology.

As Head of Geometry and Computational Design at the studio, Pablo Zamorano Mosnaim works across all studio projects providing expertise and guidance on new technologies and techniques, and the execution of challenging geometries.

Martha Tsigkari's background spans architecture, engineering, and computer science. She has over two decades of experience working in projects of all scales and uses. Tsigkari's work incorporates computational design, human-computer interaction, machine learning, and optimization. She has investigated the usage of deep neural networks and genetic algorithms in the design process, aiming to solve problems ranging from passively actuated micromaterials to performance-driven urban layouts. Tsigkari is also an Associate Professor at the Bartlett, UCL and has lectured and published on the subject of computational design internationally.

This event is offered in person and virtually; COVID-19 vaccinations and face masks are strongly encouraged for all visitors. Read our full Health and Safety Protocol here.

If you register for a virtual ticket, you will receive an email with a Zoom link to access the program.
