The Architecture & Design Film Festival (ADFF) returns to New York for its 14th edition this fall. From September 28 to October 2, ADFF:NY will showcase a diverse range of films, from over eleven countries, that investigate design’s impact on the worlds of fashion, real estate, art, architecture, urban planning, and housing.

The Festival will kick off with a screening of Fashion Reimagined at the SVA Theater on opening night. The documentary explores Mother of Pearl designer Amy Powney’s trajectory as she sets out to create a collection that’s ethical and sustainable at every level, from fiber to finished garment. Other films to highlight include inspiring stories about Danish design pioneer Grethe Meyer, legendary Dutch architect of MVRDV Architects Winy Maas as well as Finnish artist and one of the first designers for Marimekko–Maija Isola.

The Festival’s program includes six U.S premieres and the world premiere of Robin Hood Gardens, a German documentary on the challenges of preservation. Each film will be introduced by a special guest and followed by engaging Q&As with the filmmakers. Tickets and other details about the Festival are available on the website.
