Discover and explore the bridges and infrastructure that allowed a 17th Century Dutch trading post to evolve into today's global city. John Kriskiewicz, professor of Architecture and City Planning, is your host for a full circumnavigation tour that puts into context all of New York City’s fantastic, historic, and varied road, rail, water, waste, park and power infrastructure that can only be comprehended from the water. Historical anecdotes and tales of heroic engineering feats are illustrated as we sail under the iconic bridges and close, along side the often hidden infrastructure that make life in our city possible.
