Anthony Vidler, Gwendolyn Wright, and Thomas Leeser will join author Joseph Giovannini for a discussion of his recent volume on contemporary architectural history, Architecture Unbound: A Century of the Disruptive Avant-Garde (Rizzoli, 832 pages, 700 illustrations). They will discuss issues raised in the book regarding the international architectural avant-garde in the context of a century-long history of cultural and architectural disruption. The book will be for sale for those interested.

Joseph Giovannini, Principal, Giovannini Associates; Author, Critic and Journalist

Joseph Giovannini has written on architecture and design for four decades for such publications as the New York Times, Architectural Record, Art in America, and Art Forum, and  he  has  served  as  the  architecture critic for New York Magazine, the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, and the Los Angeles Review of Books. He has also taught widely in graduate architecture programs.
