Join the AIANY Custom Residential Architect’s Network (CRAN) for our first event of 2022 to recognize the work of The Mycelium Project, an 18-month-long series of virtual lectures and workshops launched during the pandemic. 

This collaboration with Silman, Kansas State University, and the Glass House explored how mycelium, a cellular fabric from the roots of mushrooms, can be used as an alternative construction material. The collective initiative culminated in an augmented reality installation created by SHoP Architects, currently on view in Tafel Hall at the Center for Architecture.

We invite architects, engineers, students, and mycophiles join us to network, learn about mycelium, hear more about the project, and experience the augmented reality installation. We look forward to seeing you there!

This event is offered in person; proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination (for attendees age 5 and up) with photo ID are required for entry. Food and beverages will be served.
