Derrington’s book opens new avenues to codify the principles and activities of real estate development in a foundation for future academic research and practical innovation.Patrice Derrington is the Holliday Associate Professor and Director of the Real Estate Development program at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. A registered architect, her academic credentials include a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley, Harvard MBA, and B. Arch, University of Queensland, She has worked as an investment banker, advisor, and fund manager and has led numerous urban development projects in the USA and Australia. Based on her doctoral research, Built Up is also informed by her more than fifteen years of real estate experience.
