Participants will be given a thorough breakdown on how to identify required special inspections. Whether it’s a renovation or new development, special inspections are a critical component of the construction process. After completing this course, participants will be well informed on required special inspections, how to identify them, and learning the procedures for conducting a sprinkler inspection.

AIA Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will learn where to list the required inspections when preparing a design.
  • Participants will learn the procedures for conducting a sprinkler inspection.
  • Participants will learn to correctly identify required inspections.
  • Participants will learn what information must to be provided to the inspector to sign off on a project.

Speaker:
Young Suh, PE

Young Suh, P.E., is an ICC Certified Master of special inspections, with qualification in structural inspection and experienced in MEP design and construction. He is a licensed professional engineer and certified building retro commissioner in New York State, with additional certifications in ultrasonic testing, concrete testing, reinforced concrete, structural welding and bolting, commercial mechanical, and structural masonry. He received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland. With over 20 years of applied professional experience, Suh is one of the foremost experts in New York City special inspections and material testing.
