This 8-week after-school program introduces students to SketchUp, a fun and free digital design program used by professional designers. Students will learn the fundamentals of the program through small projects, culminating in designing their own temporary pop-up store in NYC. Whether it’s a skateboard shop, café/restaurant, or fashion center, students will have fun seeing their designs come to life while learning valuable skills.
Students will need a laptop or desktop computer, a three-click mouse, and Windows 10, 8, or 7 or Mac OS 10 operating system to download SketchUp software. Web-based software can be used on a Chromebook, but Digital Design classes cannot be done on a tablet or phone.
If you are interested in applying for a need-based scholarship, please see the scholarship information and Financial Need Form here. The Scholarship Application deadline is Monday, September 20th.
