Design educator and historian Daniella Ohad presents a unique online course exploring the foundation of modern design history. This 5-session course (the fourth series this year) provides an overview of one of the most exciting periods in design and architectural history. Each talk in the series will be devoted to a separate decade, and will explore a variety of themes, including the Pop Movement, studio furniture, space-age design, Minimalism, Postmodernism, and the “High-Tech” Movement. By examining interiors, furniture, objects, buildings, designers, makers, methods of production, and material culture, students will develop an understanding of the history of design and its visual vocabulary.
