Dear Friends of the AIANY Women in Architecture Committee,

Do you want to share with, learn more about, and support the Asian Design Community?

In honor of Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, AIANY WIA is pleased to host a special WIA Forum: Allies With the Asian Design Community, within our regular May Monthly Committee Meeting.

We are hosting Bianca Weeko Martin, M. Arch Candidate at University of Waterloo and Publications Manager, RAP/LASG; Amanda Miller, Project Architect, Hoffman Architects and Co-Chair, AIANY Diversity & Inclusion Committee; Sara Ngan, Senior Associate, FXCollaborative; Mindy No, Principal, Perkins Eastman; and Ayumi Sugiyama, Director of Cultural Projects, SHoP as our guests. They will share their personal and professional stories through a conversation moderated by Kerry Nolan, Senior Associate, Beyer Blinder Belle. (See profiles here). After a brief discussion, we will open up for an honest dialogue amongst attendees. We will offer a supportive and safe space for sharing, an opportunity for attendees to learn about the Asian experience and diverse backgrounds, and an understanding of how to be allies with the Asian community.
