Architecture at Home: Truss Bridges

Learn more about architecture and design from the comfort of your own home with our free, live, and online Architecture at Home workshops led by Center for Architecture educators. Each 45-minute session explores an architectural topic through virtual tours, interactive lessons and discussions, and gets kids started on a design project they can complete on their own with easy-to-find materials.    

All Architecture at Home events require a device with internet connection and camera. Workshops are FREE and are open to all at-home learners, families, and youth ages 5+.  

Join us to kick off our four-part series of Architecture at Home classes all about bridges! In this week’s class, we’ll focus on truss bridges, which use triangles to create strong, stable structures. Build your own truss bridge following our example or invent your own! 

Materials: Toothpicks, dry mini marshmallows or gumdrops, dry spaghetti (optional), truss bridge example sheet (optional)
