AIANY Design for Health Committee Meeting

The goal of the Design for Health Committee is to be an organizational voice for architects specializing in the field of healthcare, for prospective individuals looking to acquire knowledge, for allied professionals involved with the construction of health facilities, and for healthcare providers. Individuals will find opportunities in the emerging areas of health promotion, design and health, public health, sustainable design, and international projects. Long-standing programs on the guidelines for the planning, design, and construction of healthcare facilities, codes and regulations, specialty departmental planning, technology planning, and project delivery will continue to be offered.

Committee meeting 1 hour roundtable discussions, each with a guest speaker who has expertise and insights regarding the selected topic. One of the Co-Chairs will introduce the speaker, and the speaker will discuss the topic for 15 to 20 minutes. This will be followed by an open discussion moderated by the Co-Chairs for the remainder of the meeting.

The April 6th meeting will focus on Digital Healthcare.

Richard Tyson, Director Intelligent Places, Gensler

Scot and Richard will discuss the emergence of Digital Health across the entire healthcare platform, including consumer/provider engagement, clinical integration and Intelligent Places. Their discussion will follow on how Digital Health will improve the performance of the entire healthcare system.
