Retaining walls and soil slopes are often an integral aspect of property development. There are several types of retaining structures and slope configurations that should be considered in design. About the speakers:
Laurence W. Keller, PE, is a licensed professional engineer and Principal at Whitestone Associates, Inc, where he has provided geotechnical engineering, environmental consultation, and special inspection services to the New York City metropolitan area for more than 25 years. Keller routinely provides geotechnical engineering services throughout the Eastern US and is responsible for the overall performance and management of Whitestone’s geotechnical services.
Kevin A. Feath, PE, is an Associate at Whitestone Associates, Inc. and a licensed professional engineer with a strong background in geotechnical engineering, retaining wall evaluation, and slope stabilization. He has been practicing for 20 years and has managed a significant number of projects in the metropolitan area. Feath has extensive experience with the design, construction, monitoring, and remediation of retaining walls, support of excavation systems, and rock/soil slopes. He is responsible for managing a team of engineers, providing quality control oversight, performing site evaluations, defining project needs and team responsibilities, and acting as a liaison between stakeholders, design professionals, permit expeditors, and building officials.
