NYCHA’s Blueprint for Change: Featuring Chair Greg Russ

Please join us for this special event featuring New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Chair Greg Russ.

This past summer, NYCHA unveiled its Blueprint for Change, a comprehensive plan for the agency to address the many challenges it faces. As outlined in the report, NYCHA seeks to create the “NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust,” which would finance NYCHA maintenance work with vouchers, then hire NYCHA to act as a property manager. It would assume a role comparable to the one the NYC School Construction Authority performs for the NYC Department of Education. Should this effort come to fruition, it would significantly change the way NYCHA currently functions. This program is an opportunity for architects to hear from Russ on how these proposed policy changes may affect their work with NYCHA.
