This 8-session after-school class introduces students to SketchUp, a fun and free digital design program used by professional designers. Students will learn the ins and outs of the software, and of the architectural design process, as they work on several small design projects, culminating in the design of their own ideal personal shelter. A great tool for continued 3-D modeling for fun and for school projects.
Students will need a laptop or desktop computer, a 3-click mouse, and Windows 10, 8, or 7 or Mac OS 10 operating system. This class cannot be done on a tablet, phone, or Chromebook.
Please Note: No materials will be shipped for this program. We ask all students to provide pencils, pens, blank paper, crayons/markers/colored pencils, scissors, and a ruler or straightedge.
The scholarship application deadline for this program has passed. Scholarships are still available for the November session of this program. For more information, please see the calendar event page here.
