Michael Martello, PE brings a tremendous amount of experience in providing design management and leadership in the delivery of fast-paced, large Design-Build projects. Mr. Martello is an industry technical leader delivering major complex transit and highway transportation projects ranging from multi-million to multi-billion dollar programs such as the NYSTA Design-Build Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, NYSDOT Design-Build Kew Gardens Interchange Phase 4, Penn DOT Design-Build Rapid Bridge Replacement Program, and Eagle P3 Commuter rail line for the Denver Regional Transportation District. For the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge project (formally known as the Tappan Zee Hudson River Replacement Project) Michael served as the Global Analysis Design Manager during Basic Design Services and the Approach Bridge Project Engineer during Design Services during Construction.
For the Kew Gardens Interchange Phase 4, Michael is currently serving as the Design Project Manager where he and his team have delivered the replacement of an extremely complex highway interchange which includes the design of eleven bridge structures across twenty-one highway alignments constructed over five major WZTC stages. Mr. Martello has a track record of delivering designs that meet the quality standards of the project requirements while remaining on-time and on-budget. Mr. Martello received both his Bachelors and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College where he now currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Civil Engineering department.
Objective: Objective of this lecture is to gain understanding to Delivering Comprehensive Design Solution by Ensuring Safety of the Travelling Public.
