Review of the Lombardic region and a sampling of natural stone species that are available, from the basic geological classifications from Calcareous and Siliceous types of stone: sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous categories (dense limestone, breccie, sandstone, marble, serpentine and porphyry).

3. Share information on the range of uses and limitations for each type of stone available in the region for both interior and exterior settings.
4. View interior and exterior application opportunities.

This relationship organically transitioned from the years that Marmi Ghirardi has serviced his pre-order cut-to-size stone projects, as specified and designed by the architectural practice that specializes in cultural, hospitality and luxury multiple dwelling building types. This presentation is made by the stone supplier/fabricator (Ghiradi Stone Contracting, LLC) in conjunction with the Natural Stone Institute (NSI) from the eye of an architect, while wearing the hardhat of the stone supplier/fabricator.

As a stone quarrier/fabricator/supplier with more than 28 years of broad experience dealing with commercial, contractual and technical aspects of the global stone industry, Dr. Stefano Ghirardi, serves as the CEO and Chairman of Marmi Ghirardi, Srl as well as Ghirardi Stone Contracting, LLC. Along with his advanced degrees in business economics, he is fluent in English, Spanish, German, French and Portuguese (with his native Italian). He has held the presidential offices with the Natural Stone Association (Confindustria Marmomacchine) and the European Natural Stone Federation (Euroroc).
