Biosafety is the New Level of Service – Adapting Public Spaces to COVID-19

Recent ad-hoc accommodations to social distancing and general hygiene permit re-opening of public spaces, but Level of Service has suffered while concerns for public health remain high.
Experts from very different sub-specialties of architecture and engineering –laboratory planning and transit design– will share current resources that inform good practice in the planning of public architecture for biosafety, access control, environmental monitoring, and materials properties while also discussing how these elements and practices can be combined into a new criterion for safe, effective, and beautiful public architecture.
