AIANY Diversity and Inclusion Committee Meeting

AIANY Diversity and Inclusion Committee invites you to join us for a committee meeting focused on identifying design actions and responses to the systemic racism towards the Black community that led to the deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and many others before them. As a profession we cannot be silent and complicit to the structural racism present in our practices and the built environment.

1. Collect and share resources supporting anti-racism and coping with the effects of racism to promote education and wellness.
2. Workshop action oriented goals and objectives for addressing racism in the immediate and long-term as architects/designers.
3. Identify potential partnerships across interested groups and networks.
