This workshop-style program explores the boundaries of education on the human aspects of design and further investigates where these skills are acquired—in schools and in the workplace.

Within architectural education, how is human-centric research being taught and how can we envision this changing in the future? In practice, firms seek to meet the needs of clients, building occupants, and the community at large. But how are firms going beyond the traditional boundaries of practice to better understand these needs and social concerns? Thought leaders in education and practice share examples of pushing boundaries to bring the impact of research into design.
