AIANY Design for Health Committee – New Meeting Format!

The Design for Health Committee is piloting a new format for the Committee Meetings
Every other month the committee will hold a round table discussion set by members and moderated by the co-chairs. The alternating months we are introducing the opportunity for the Next Generation/Emerging Professionals in the healthcare practice area in NYC to present an on-the-boards project. The Next Generation of professionals will have the opportunity to be more engaged in the committee and obtain feedback from industry professionals.

We encourage current committee members to publicize this opportunity with their colleagues who may be interested. We seek three to four presenters every other month beginning at the November 9th Committee Meeting to be held at the Center for Architecture, in the Silman Conference Room.

Below are the guidelines and format of the presentation:
1. The sign up list will be on a first-come/first serve basis.
2. A request to present must be sent to both Co-Chairs, James Crispino at james_crispino@gensler.com and Elizabeth Sullivan at e.sullivan@perkinseastman.com.
3. Presentations should be digital, and provided in advance to be loaded on the AIANY computer/display monitor.
4. Presentations should be limited to ten minutes each. Followed by a 5-10 minute discussion with the committee.
5. Presenters must have less than 10 years of experience
6. Project must be healthcare project the presenter is working on
7. Project must be on the boards or in construction

The committees of AIA New York are the foundations from which the Chapter positions itself in the field of architecture, whether through discussion, advocacy, policy making and development, event and exhibition planning, or other endeavors.

Committees meet monthly, usually at the Center for Architecture. AIA members, AIA associate members, and general public are all welcome to participate.
