Architects and designers across the country are invited to participate in the third annual National Day of Learning. With mounting evidence that we are entering a whole new geological epoch—one dominated by the impact we humans have had on the Earth’s atmosphere, oceans and wildlife—the question arises, once it’s all gone, what will you build with? Wilsonart has organized this event in response to ongoing dialogue with professionals in the industry who want to have a broad understanding of the materials they specify.
Please join Grace Jeffers, thought leader, design historian and materials experts, for a thought-provoking presentation exploring Design in the Anthropocene and how architects and designers can remain authentic to their concepts, their clients and the climate. This new CEU debuts at this year’s third-annual National Day of Learning. It will explore materials specification and give designers a firm grasp on man-made versus natural materials in the face of imminent scarcity.
Two sessions offer 1 Health, Safety and Welfare Continuing Education (HSW CEU) Credit for IDCEC or AIA. Both sessions will be livestreamed, the first at 12:30 p.m. EDT and again at 3:00 p.m. EDT. Those in NYC are welcomed to attend either session in the Center for Architecture’s 532 Space. Lunch and snacks will be provided and registration for the in-person session is limited and required.
Register online to participate in the 12:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. EDT Livestream.
As a reminder, AIA National policy requires participants to attend the entire educational portion of an event to receive continuing education credits. We encourage all participants to arrive on time to comply with this policy.
