The Municipal Engineers of the City of New York presents an open meeting and presentation on February 27, 2019. The lecture topic, Innovations in Long Span Bridge Design, is about recent innovations implemented in design of the complex bridges. Refreshments will be served at 5:30PM. Presentation will start at 6:00PM

Raheel Malik, PE, Associate Vice President of HDR

Raheel Malik, PE, is Associate Vice President at HDR, Inc. Raheel holds a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Texas at Austin. Raheel has over 28 years’ experience in design, details, analysis and construction of large bridges and viaduct structures including cable supported bridges. He is experienced in developing complex bridge construction methods like balanced cantilever, incremental launch and span by span methods, as well experienced in segment delivery systems and the use of cranes and gantry operations. He is also experienced in seismic analysis, design and detailing, including nonlinear time history analysis and seismic isolation bearing analysis. Raheel is presently providing design for some of the largest precast arches for the I-395 Signature Bridge structure project in Miami. Raheel is registered Professional Engineer in state of New York and California. He is also affiliated with various professional societies like IABSE and ASCE.
