Building of the Day: Ocean Wonders: Sharks!

Ocean Wonders: Sharks!, a new 50,000-square-foot building at the New York Aquarium, houses an exciting shark exhibition that conveys a sense of wonder of the ocean and an urgency regarding the ocean’s health while connecting New Yorkers to their local waters. The building’s design is an organic, fluid geometry resembling landforms carved by water. Integral to this theme is the spiraling ramp that unveils ocean views and leads visitors to a popular roof deck featuring open vistas.
