Join us for the launch of Pamphlet Architecture 36: Buoyant Clarity, the latest edition to Princeton Architectural Press’s celebrated Pamphlet Architecture 36 series, which explores groundbreaking, contemporary lines of thought surrounding the practice of architecture.
For this panel, Buoyant Clarity authors Shawna Meyer, AIA; Daniel Hemmendinger; and Christopher Meyer, AIA, address the issue of rising sea levels and the concept of floating cities, also engaging with the voices that work to shape the series’ unique format. Authors, jury members, and publishers will reflect on the ability of the series to foreground critical agendas grounded in design but entangled in contemporary social, cultural, and environmental issues. The discussion will focus on the embattled relationship between the environment and urbanism, setting forth prompts for engaging a direct dialogue between a place, its resources, and, in this case, the rising of the sea.
Pamphlet Architecture 36: Buoyant Clarity books will be for sale at the event.
