Mastering Manhattan: An Architectural Showdown

In just under three months, New York City architects will welcome thousands of colleagues from across the country for the AIA Conference on Architecture (A’18). In preparation for this momentous occasion and the numerous architecture-related queries that it will bring to the island, the AIANY Architecture Dialogue Committee, Historic Buildings Committee, and Architecture Tour Committee have joined forces to help local architects become bona fide gurus of Gotham.

Mastering Manhattan is a fast-paced quiz event where architectural aficionados will get the chance to show off and sharpen their skills, identifying interesting and significant NYC buildings as well as their designers and eras. This unique challenge ups the ante with big rewards: the first-place winner will take home the Humanscale Freedom Chair, described by The New York Times as “the gold standard in office seating.” The second-place and door prizes, also contributed by Humanscale, will be the Trea Chair and the Infinity Task Light.
